Cybersecurity Investments MSPs Plan To Make Next Year

From extended detection and response, identity management and vulnerability management to security assessments, security awareness training and incident response, here are the top cybersecurity investments MSPs have in store.

The final week of the 18th annual Cybersecurity Awareness Month is all about making security a priority, with businesses urged to: build security into products and processes; make cybersecurity training a part of employee onboarding; and equip staff with the tools they need to keep the organization safe. Users, meanwhile, are encouraged to keep cybersecurity at the forefront of their mind as they connect daily.

Before purchasing a device or online product, consumers should do their research, according to the National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA) and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), which co-lead Cybersecurity Awareness Month. And when setting up a new device or app, users must consider your security and privacy settings and update default passwords, the agencies said.

For week three of Cybersecurity Awareness Month, CRN spoke with 16 managed service providers with security services expertise about where they’re planning to allocate time and resources next year. From extended detection and response, identity management and vulnerability management to security assessments, security awareness training and incident response, here’s where MSPs will place their bets.
