Ahmedabad Cyber Crime Unit has successfully dismantled an illegal gambling operation linked to the Mahadev Book App and other platforms. Two individuals were arrested from a hotel in Sola during the raid.
Acting on a tip, authorities apprehended Pratham Khatri and Raj Padhiyar for their involvement in online gambling activities. The investigation revealed their connection to the Mahadev Book app and other bookies, where they collected money from clients and transferred it for commissions.
Mobile phones seized from the suspects are being analyzed to gather further evidence. Additionally, the interrogation led to the identification of other individuals potentially involved in the gambling ring, indicating a wider network.
This arrest follows the earlier discovery of over 10,000 bank accounts linked to the Mahadev App in Gujarat. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities remain committed to upholding the law.
